Tarn Line Forest Drum Cup

I threw this cup with sturdy, simple walls so it feels balanced and heavy in your hand. The exterior glaze is a warm, satin brown, reminiscent of damp earth, and stops short of the base, leaving a creamy, textured line for grip. The dark color pooling just inside the rim is my favorite detail; it feels like looking down into the shadowed surface of a small, cold lake. It is the solid, comfortable piece you reach for first when the air is crisp.
